Attention: Accounts Payable Department
As you may be aware, Stanley Black & Decker acquired Abmast in November 2012 resulting in our combined company known as Stanley Black & Decker Canada Corporation. As part of our consolidation, we are combining many functions to simplify processes within our Construction, Do It Yourself (CDIY) business. Effective July 7, 2014, these changes will provide consistency as we consolidate operations to best serve you. The main changes are as follows:
Lockbox (Remit To) Address Changes
For orders placed on or after July 7, 2014, please update your records to reflect a new lockbox “remit to” address as follows:
Stanley Black & Decker
P O Box 9521
Postal Station A
Toronto, Ontario M5W 2K3
This will allow you to remit all Construction Do It Yourself payments to one specified lockbox. Please refer to your invoices for “remit to” address information and you should use this address for payments and documents to support deductions taken on any remittances. If you are not currently utilizing EFT/ACH payments but would like to establish EFT/ACH payments, please contact Melissa Herring at 410-427-6230 to receive instructions.
Vendor Name Changes
Beginning July 7, 2014, products for Abmast, Stanley Hand Tools, Bostitch, Black & Decker, DeWALT, Porter Cable and POWERS FASTENERS will all be invoiced under one vendor name, Stanley Black & Decker. We ask that you please update your payable records & system to reflect this change.
The CDIY business has moved to a one invoice format. A new sample invoice is attached for your convenience. The main changes are as follows:
a) Header reflects Stanley Black & Decker rather than Abmast
b) Remit to vendor entity is now Stanley Black & Decker Canada Corporation with a new “remit to” mailing address as noted on your invoices
c) Section titled “Terms” at bottom of each invoice reflects stated payment terms and not specifically identified due dates
d) E-invoicing options are available via e-mail or e-fax and if interested, please contact one of the people noted below.
